For a retro media project, I was searching for analog ways to manipulate video. That’s when I came across something called a “dirty video mixer”—a simple circuit that lets you switch between video sources in a raw, glitchy way. Since I already have a clean video mixer, I thought this would be a great addition to my setup.
I sourced the parts myself, learned to solder, and built the circuit into an old dimmer I had lying around. It was a really fun project that taught me a lot about soldering and DIY electronics.
