Home made oscilloscope
Januari 2025, Utrecht

For this project, I converted a CRT TV into an oscilloscope as part of the same retro media project as the dirty video mixer. I started by doing a lot of research on how to make this modification. It’s a delicate process, and mistakes can be risky, so I made sure to proceed carefully.

This was my first time soldering, but everything worked out beautifully. Normally, the TV receives analog video signals, but I modified the inputs to accept audio instead. This tricks the TV into thinking it's displaying a video signal when, in reality, it's visualizing sound.

It was a really cool project, and the result was truly unique.
